Megan Moroney is a young country artist that recently blew up all over the internet. Moroney first published her music in early 2021, and didn’t get recognition until late 2022 after the release of her debut EP, “Pistol Made Of Roses,” One of her songs that also skyrocketed her fame was “Tennessee Orange,” which earned her a spot on ESPN’s college gameday.
Moroney grew up in Douglasville, Georgia with her sister, brother and parents and Moroney grew up in the average family although her whole childhood involved music and guitar playing. Before Moroney’s singing career, she participated in pageants throughout college, Moroney went to University of Georgia and majored in accounting.
Soon after graduating she started writing music and that is how she ended up where she is now. Moroney recently announced her “Am I Okay?” tour on Sep. 10, 2024. At the time she wasn’t the artist she is now; fans stated how she is not their little secret artist anymore but she is a worldwide and very well known artist now. So far Moroney has been to 25 places across North America to perform, and is now the third biggest debut for female country artists because of her tour.
Moroney fans have only said good things about her tour, and Moroney said she loves her fame although it does cause her a lot of stress in the long run. On her tour, her opening song is “Man on the Moon,’’ a song that has sparked the hearts of many young teens experiencing teenage love. Almost all of Moroney’s songs are about love and being heartbroken, although she has a song called “The Girls,’’ which is about pure young female friendship that has reached over 156 million global streams.
Moroney has put so much time and effort into her music and her career overall, as she continues to grow as an artist and put out more music, and it’s clear that her fame will not end shortly.
