In recent years, Kesha has been able to make a return to her spotlight, and her rise of popularity has recently occurred to grow around the time of Halloween. She is known for her wild anthems like, “TIk Tok’’ and “Cannibal.” Her crazy music and glitter filled music videos made her instantly rise to fame over the past years. She has an unique connection to Halloween culture with both her music as well as her messy fun aesthetic.
Kesha is not only known for her music but also her punk rock vibe. Her glitter drenched music videos and her wild costumes from award shows embrace her very bold personality. Her free spirited personality and rebellious attitude makes her a perfect fit for Halloween. Her first connection with Halloween was in the fall of 2017, when people first started noticing her vibe and thought it would be a good Halloween costume. The idea of dressing up as Kesha for Halloween is very appealing and different from what your average costume is today. People made sure to embrace her messy and glittery vibe very accurately. At its core Kesha's image has always been about self-expression and freedom which seemed to spark the hearts of many. Kesha’s message of self rebellion and loving yourself is a very good message to young teens considering the fact that most messages from artists now can be very discouraging and hurtful to your mind. When speaking to an anonymous group of high school students they shared that they thought the costume is so fun and different, and that they are excited Kesha is making her much needed comeback this season.
