Girls softball has been working very hard this season to secure more wins than last season. The girls have been improving more than ever, but have also been keeping up the team spirit.
“Our season’s been going a lot better than last year. We’ve had such improvement not only in players, but as a team together. We’ve learned communication skills and that you can’t do everything yourself, you have to rely on your teammates,” said junior Eva Panian.
The team is really putting in that extra effort not only on the field but in the team. They are working better together now getting into the groove of working all together rather than individually. They are also working on their plays, and trying to improve their game overall so they can secure more wins this season.
“We’ve got really good at bats this year and a lot more runs have been coming in, which is a really good feeling compared to last year, and we have some wins on our board so that's pretty nice,” said Panian.
“I think no matter what happens in a game, we keep our heads up. So even if we lose, we’re still happy. We still keep our heads up and always remember there's another game we can improve in,” said sophomore Aryah Weisberg.
The softball team has been very persistent this season. They seem to be a lot more confident and have improved dramatically since their last season. They are a hard working group and can’t wait to see how the rest of their season goes. They strive to improve tremendously throughout each game, even though that means putting in more work during practice, and dedicating their time after school to improve.
The girls are very excited about their achievements and growth this season. They know this is only the beginning of a new and improved start for them. Due to their amazing sportsmanship they know how to get right back up for the next game and play even harder. Good luck on your next game Pirates! Wishing you the best for the rest of the season.
