Throughout the swim season, the boys and girls teams have worked extremely hard to make it this far. CIF was held at Mission Oak High School, and only the top swimmers of the season were selected to go to CIF. Spirits were high throughout the season with our swimmers scores being high throughout the season. Girls ended up with a total of 154 points gained and boys had 64 from their season. There were 35 teams overall and MBHS placed fourth.
Two of the top swimmers from the 2025 girls swim season were Ava Beckett and Carly Muff, who are both seniors here at MBHS. Beckett ended up placing sixth in the girls 50 yard freestyle with a booming time of 26.56 seconds. Muff swam the girls 500 in the D2 league and placed fourth with a time of 5:51.79, only being 13.42 seconds behind the first place winner. Relays were also a huge part of this year's CIF. The top 200 yard medley relay included seniors Devyn McLaughlin, Tessa Standridge, Maya Hitchcock, and sophomore Hazel Hubbard. Hubbard, who’s been on the team since last season, said, “This was my first year competing in CIF and I had a lot of fun. Everyone worked very hard to improve their personal times throughout the season and it paid off in the end.” Overall, the girls did fantastic throughout CIF and continue to grow and improve next year.
The boys also continued throughout the season to do their best in CIF. Junior Jude Moore, who’s been on the team all three years of high school, placed seventh overall in the boys 100 yard butterfly with a qualifying time of 56.06 from prelims. All boys on varsity qualified for CIF. The boys ended up doing extremely well in the 200 year medley relay. The top time from the boys relay was 1:52.42; the relay team had some of the boys top swimmers. The relay was Jude Moore, Weston Carter, Edward Lu and Alex Roberts, all juniors here at MBHS.
The entire swim season was filled with so much hard work and dedication, both the boys and the girls are very proud of their season. There was so much improvement throughout the season and so much to be celebrated. Everybody was very successful this season and did fantastic.
