Assistant Principals Wallace and Davis Twin It To Win it
At the start of the 2022-2023 school year, MBHS welcomed two new admin members: assistant principals Will Wallace and Ben Davis. It became apparent early on that the duo had formed a very strong friendship. The two seemed to be working with each other constantly to tackle numerous issues that MBHS was facing at that time.
What staff and students alike have noticed, is that both Wallace and Davis seem to have one thing in common: the outfits that they wear. It seems that almost everyday someone on campus will point out that the two are “twinning” with their clothing choices.
While most may think that the outfits are just a fun addition to administration, some campus members view it as more. Many on campus have been keen to point out how important the connection between two administrators is. Senior Liam Burton said, “I really think it’s cool that they do that. I feel it shows that they think of each other as good friends instead of just co-workers. It’s almost like a Batman and Robin kinda thing.”
There can be numerous ideas to try and find out why the pair started to coincide their outfits with one another. However, it seems the best ideas are the ones that find the most simple ideas for how it all started. This is exactly the case with the idea presented by junior Dexter Parks, “I’m not going to lie, I just always assumed that they were just wearing the uniform that they were required to wear and also, they seem to wear jackets a lot, which makes sense on why they would look similar.”
While one can come up with many theories as to why, the best way to understand is directly from Wallace and Davis themselves. “We have literally never once talked about it. It just kind of happens,” said Wallace. Wallace was not alone in this sentiment as Davis said, “We just own a lot of the same stuff and a lot of the clothes we’ve inherited from the school. We also seem to get a lot of our clothes from Costco too.”
Now the world no longer has to wonder the reason behind the amazing outfits of assistant principals Wallace and Davis. Though, the world is free to wonder whether or not they have ever once done it on purpose.
