The drama club here on campus is a fun and creative way to express yourself. Many people enjoy doing and watching the many shows they put on. This year's fall play is “The Lion, Witch, and The Wardrobe.” There is a new teacher this year, Mrs. Pratt. She’s done plays at other schools, such as Astadorro. This is her first play with us at MBHS. The play is being student directed by junior Emerson Jacquay who has been doing theatre for three years. Here’s what she had to say about this year’s play: “It’s coming along really well and the cast and crew is amazing.” She also said, “The play is opening on Nov. 8 and we have four more shows after that.”

The play is about four kids who find a wardrobe that leads to the mystical land of Narnia. They then face some difficulties along the way of exploring Narnia. It’s set in the 1940’s in England. If this sounds interesting to you, buy your tickets and come watch it.

Senior Angus McNellie said, “I’m playing Edmund and my favorite part about my character is that he reminds me of me. I feel like I just suit that role, plus I always seem to play a little boy, so I’m used to it.” He’s playing one of the kids in the play.

The tickets for the play will be sold online at the MBHS website. The tickets will cost 10 dollars for students and 15 dollars for adults.

Please come and support our amazing drama program here at Morro Bay. The drama club always has meetings on Tuesdays during lunch make sure to check it out. There will be a spring musical coming up, so look out for auditions. The play is open for the community, so take your families if you would like.
