Rallies at MBHS are always an experience with fun games, performances, and shows, but as the end of the school year nears, so does a fan favorite dance theme and rally. The neon rally is one of the most exciting rallies at MBHS, as well as one that produces the most energy. This year, the neon rally was no different. “I thought the neon rally was pretty fun.The activities were more creative than the other rallies and I thought the atmosphere and lights were really fun,” said freshman Poe Geever. Students were ushered into the gym through two different sections. The first door was seniors and freshmen and the second door was for sophomores and juniors, something MBHS hasn’t done yet this year when separating the grades for the bleachers.

The rally started off as they always do with cheerleaders welcoming the students into the gym. It then began with Josslyn Finch and Rowan McCain explaining the dance and what it will somewhat be like. After, three people from each grade were pulled from the crowd to play dodgeball. The dodgeballs were glowing so the teams could see them in the dark. The teams were the freshmen against the sophomores and the seniors against the juniors. The sophomores and seniors came up on top for the first game with the seniors ultimately winning the whole thing. The next activity was limbo, teams had to spin around a baseball bat ten times then run to the limbo stick and try to make their way under it. The games for the rally this year were very exciting and incorporated a lot of people and crowd participation.

The rally ended with students explaining and showing what people can wear to the neon dance with a mini fashion show. All in all, the neon rally this year was full of entertaining activities and showcased how electric MBHS can be. Students say the 2025 neon rally was one of the best so far.
