The Fall and Come Back of The Raiders

The Lions vs Raiders game on Monday 10-29 was almost predictable, as the Lions were better set up for a win with a 5-2 score versus the Raiders at a 3-4. The game was played in Detroit in the Ford Fields indoor stadium.

Dan Chapbell, the head coach for the Detroit Lions, played for the NFL for the Cowboys, Lions, and the Saints from (1999-2009). Then became the coach for some of the same teams, before ending up as the head coach for the Lions in 2021. The Raiders’ head coach doesn't have the best reputation as a coach but the good players make up for it. Less than 24 hours after the Monday game, the Raiders fired their head coach and the general manager. The head coach, Josh McDaneils, was hired to take the team to the next level after coaching many other teams, but became the Raiders 3rd worst coach with at least 25 games because instead they went a combined 9-16 without going to the playoffs.

The best players guiding the Raiders are Davante Adams #17, Maxx Crosby #98, and Daniel Carlson #2. Daniel Carlson’s position in the team is kicker, and Davente Adams is wide receiver. My favorite play by the Raiders was by Maxx Crosby when he tackled Jahmyr Gibbs #26 on Monday. Maxx got a total of 8 beautiful tackles that game.

The Raiders sadly ended up losing that game 14-26. They got lucky the next time they played on Sunday when The Las Vegas Raiders 3-5 played the New York Giants 2-6 on November 5th. The Raiders won that game 30-6. Punter A.J. Cole #6 carried that game with a combined 318 yards on those punts, with an average of 63.6 yards per punt. That’s a NFL record for gross average in one game.
