Taylor Banuelos
Taylor D. Banuelos is a freshman at MBHS, her classes ranging from Spanish I to AVID. She plays on the freshman-sophomore volleyball team, and enjoys it a lot. For her first year of high school, she hopes to get straight A’s in all of her classes. “In my senior year I see myself with a stable job and prepared for college," she said. Her best skill is “to be able to get over stressful situations without it getting too much in my head.”
Banuelos sat down in Journalism class today in a burgundy sweater and Miss Me Jeans, her hair straightened with a light full face of makeup. She’s quiet, keeps to herself, and stays away from trouble. She is considerate, kind, and supportive (a little bit too supportive sometimes, but definitely worth being her friend nonetheless). When she was asked to describe herself, she said, “Honest, helpful, and understanding of almost everything.”
When asked about her life after Morro Bay she said, “After graduating high school, I hope to see myself going to college, graduating with a Bachelor's degree, and going into child therapy.” Later, she said she hopes “to help people with their struggles and be a person in their life they know they can count on to tell anything to.”
With her interests ranging from Taylor Swift to La La Land, she prefers romance movies and pop/indie music. She stays away from other genres such as horror movies and any kind of metal or rock music. Banuelos is also a big family person and enjoys spending time with them any chance she gets. “My mother is my role model.”
Taylor joined Spyglass this year to explore Journalism and see if it could potentially be her career, if she doesn’t go into child therapy. “I wondered when I first picked out my classes if Journalism was something I would only keep confined to one class over the next four years.” Taylor is excited to be in Spyglass for her elective this year.
